Golf Fans Are Heading To West Endicott

Bob Joseph/WNBF News

Workers and volunteers at En-Joie Golf Club in West Endicott are prepared for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open, scheduled to run Friday through Sunday.

The Champions Tour tournament features a total purse of $1.8 million with the winner collecting $270,000.

This will be the seventh Dick’s Sporting Goods Open, which features golfers who are at least 50 years old.

Special events will be held at En-Joie throughout the week. Thousands of people are expected to attend Friday night’s concert featuring Tim McGraw.

Drivers using West Main Street – Route 17C – in the area of the golf course should be prepared for traffic congestion during the tournament-related activities.
