Endicott Police Investigating Vandalism Spree

Playground equipment and other items at Endicott's Mersereau Park were damaged by vandals.

Authorities say graffiti was sprayed on play equipment between Saturday night and Sunday morning. A portable toilet in the park was tipped over.

A village of Endicott pumping station on Loder Avenue - just west of the park - also was tagged by vandals.

Police didn't know whether the weekend incident was related to an arson blaze in the park that happened last Thursday. In that case, a portable toilet was reported on fire shortly after 5 a.m.
