Members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force say they confiscated over two dozen bags of heroin during a search of a Fillmore Avenue,  Endicott home.

Officials say a hotline complaint was made to the New York State Office of Children and Family Services on behalf of eight year old and an 11 month old children in the home.

27 year old Shataya Gibson is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Authorities say they seized 34 bags of heroin, a small amount of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and drug packaging materials in the home where the children were present.

Gibson was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
