Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Endicott Mayor John Bertoni says he will seek a third, four-year term.

Bertoni revealed his intention to run for reelection on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program.

Bertoni, a Democrat, was first elected village mayor in 2008. He said he still has the "energy and the drive" to continue to work to make things better in Endicott.

The mayor said the village continues to face a challenge of trying to pay for essential services while complying with the state property tax cap.

Bertoni said it's becoming more difficult to secure additional funding through grants to help pay for special initiatives for projects throughout Endicott.

The mayor said he'd like the opportunity to continue to work on efforts to make improvements to the village's neighborhoods.
