New York State Police say an Endicott man is in custody, accused of holding up two Endwell businesses in a matter of five days this month while Broome County Sheriff’s officials say he’s also accused of stealing a vehicle full of thousands of dollars of electronics.

30 year old Joseph Rose is accused of flashing a gun and robbing the Manley’s Mighty Mart on Watson Boulevard February 12 and the Lupo’s Charpit on Main Street on February 17.

Meanwhile, Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they arrested Rose for allegedly stealing the vehicle containing about $10,000 worth of Mobile DJ equipment February 25 from a business on Watson Boulevard in the Town of Union.

Deputies say the vehicle was seen headed west of Watson Boulevard and was spotted a short time later on Pine Street near Prescott Avenue in the  Village of Endicott.

Village Police responded and found the unoccupied vehicle on a nearby street.

Deputies and police searched the area and chased Rose on foot for a short distance.

Authorities say they recovered the equipment during a search of the man’s Murphy Avenue home.

Rose is charged with felony grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property for the stolen equipment in addition to the felony robbery counts under the State police arrest.

Rose was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
