An Endicott man is accused of hijacking a taxi cab in the Town of Binghamton.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say 27 year old Scot Galilei got into a cab on Pierce Street May 23 and physically attacked the driver, causing him to abandon the vehicle.

Galilei allegedly got into the driver’s seat and attempted to drive off but hit a utility pole before being apprehended by police.

Officials say they measured Galilei’s blood alcohol content at three times the legal limit,.24%.

He’s charged with felony driving while intoxicated due to a previous DWI in the past ten years, felony aggravated DWI, unsafe backing and harassment.
