Authorities say Samuel Ross of Endicott was charged with driving while his ability was impaired by drugs, a felony. He faces other counts, including leaving the scene of an accident.

According to state police, Ross was arrested on Monday in connection with a crash on Interstate 88 in the Town of Otego.

Investigators say a car driven by Ross drifted into another lane and struck a vehicle. He then allegedly struck a ditch as he drove away.

Police say the arrest was a felony because Ross has a previous conviction for driving while his ability was impaired by drugs.

Ross was ordered to appear in Otego town court on June 30.
