Authorities say 58-year-old Richard Squires of Cleveland Avenue was charged with two felony counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.

Investigators say Squires was charged on Friday. They say village police were assisted by New York State Police.

Officials say Squires is accused of possessing images of sexual conduct by a girl under the age of 16.

The arrest followed a search of the man's apartment. Police say they seized a laptop computer and two video recorders.

Squires was arraigned in Endicott village court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.

According to Endicott police assistant chief Craig Williams, the investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.
