Endicott Man Arrested on Charge of Rape
Authorities say an Endicott resident has been charged with first-degree rape, a felony.
According to state police at Endwell, 24-year-old Eddie Stewart was arrested on Tuesday.
Officials say Stewart was charged following an investigation into an allegation that he had sex with someone by forcible compulsion. The incident was said to have occurred in the Town of Union.
Stewart was arraigned in Union town court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
Police say the court issued an order of protection against Stewart.
