Endicott Man Accused Of Striking Boy With Wooden Spoon
Endicott police say a village man was charged with felony assault for allegedly repeatedly hitting a young child with a wooden spoon.
Authorities say 22-year-old Anthony Scordino of 423 Adams Avenue was arrested Wednesday.
Endicott police along with Broome County Child Protective Services investigated a reported incident involving a three-year-old boy.
Scordino was accused of injuring the child by hitting him several times with a wooden spoon.
Police say the boy was taken to a walk-in medical office for treatment.
The boy and two other children in Scordino's care were turned over to a relative.
Scordino was arraigned in Endicott village court. He was sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
