Authorities say Michael Hitchcock has been accused of unlawfully collecting $4,762 in unemployment benefits. The payments were said to have been made between March and July of 2014.

Hitchcock was charged with third-degree grand larceny. He also faces a count of offering a false instrument for filing.

Investigators say Hitchcock was not entitled to the unemployment benefits. He was arraigned in Endicott village court and released on his own recognizance.
