The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force says a search of a home on Monroe Street in Endicott January 20 turned up 2.8 grams of unpackaged powder heroin, Suboxone, drug packaging material and cutting agents.

47 year old Maurice Hughes is charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance, two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say in addition to allegedly being found in possession of drugs, Hughes was arrested for selling heroin to another person in the Town of Union.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail.
