Endicott Cousins are Accused in Store Robbery

Bob Joseph/WNBF News

An Endicott man and his cousin are accused of working together in the robber of the Sazash Stop and Shop on Washington Avenue in the Village on August 20.

Endicott Police say 33 year old Antoine Legree is accused of entering the store at 9:37 p.m., wearing a ski mask and threatening the clerk with a knife before stealing the cash drawer.

Witnesses described a green minivan leaving the scene, which was found several days later by detectives and linked to Legree and his cousin, 26 year old Omar Legree.

The Legrees are charged with one count each of felony robbery and conspiracy.

Both are reported to be facing felony attempted robbery charges through the New York State Police for an attempt to hold up Runway Foods store on East Main Street, Endwell minutes before the Washington Avenue robbery.
