The Binghamton Mets will be well-represented tonight at the Eastern League All-Star game.  Representing the B-Mets and the Eastern Division team will be: outfielder Cesar Puello, First Baseman Allan Dykstra, infielder Josh Rodriguez, pitcher Logan Verrett and pitcher Jeff Walters.

Player selections were made by fans through on-line and in-stadium voting with at least one pitcher and one position player chosen.  Remaining selections came through All-Star ballots submitted by Eastern League managers, coaches, officials and each local team's media.

Tonight's game will be held at the home of the New Britain Rock Cats, New Britain Stadium, where previous all-star games have been held in 1987 and 2003.  Last night's Home Run Derby was won by Bowie Baysox catcher Caleb Joseph who is second in the EL with 15 home runs.

Former American Idol contestant Erin Christine, a 2013 American Idol Top 40 finalist and a native of nearby East Hartford, Connecticut will sing the National Anthem prior to tonight's 7:00 PM start.  Following tonight's game regular season play resumes tomorrow around the Eastern League.  The Binghamton Mets host Portland in a doubleheader beginning at 5:35 PM (5:20 PM airtime on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
