Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]The Broome County Sheriff’s Office Correction Investigation Unit says a Binghamton man is accused of bringing drugs into the Broome County Jail.

Authorities say while 23 year old Shamel Hunter was being booked into the Correctional Facility he was allegedly found to have 100 glassine envelopes in his possession that tested positive for Fentanyl, weighing 28 grams.

Hunter is charged with felony counts of promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was jailed without bail.
