Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]A Village of Sherburne man is accused of possessing methamphetamine and items used to manufacture meth.

Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say they arrested Jason Wheeler February 19 as a deputy was working a drug interdiction detail with a police K9.

Wheeler, who is a New York State Parolee, was stopped for driving while using his cell phone and driving without a license in the Village of Earlville.

A search of the vehicle turned up the drugs and manufacturing material.

Wheeler is charged with unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $10,000 bail.
