Members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force say a raid December 20 at a home on Hawley Street in the City of Binghamton has turned up weapons and a lot of drugs.

Officials say they recovered 110 bags of heroin packaged for sale a loaded 9mm assault rifle, about 16.1 grams of heroin, 8.7 grams of crack cocaine, drug packaging materials and $365 in suspected drug sale proceeds.

42 year old Michael McCary and 36 year old James Brabham Junior, both of Binghamton are both charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of an assault weapon, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of over 1/2 ounce of a controlled substance and criminal possession of over 1/8 ounce of a controlled substance; all felonies as well as two misdemeanor counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
