A raid of a Clinton Street, Binghamton address December 17 has netted two Brooklyn men on drug charges.

Members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force say they arrested 34 year old Abdul Covington and 29 year old Matthew Daniels and confiscated 63 glassine envelopes of packaged heroin, about 9 grams of unpackaged heroin, 9 knotted plastic wraps containing crack cocaine, some containers with hidden compartments, a digital scale, drug packaging items, protective face masks, drug paraphernalia and about $1,600 in suspected drug sale proceeds.

Authorities say Covington tried to run and fought with police officers.

Covington is charged with four felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, two misdemeanor counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.

Daniels is charged with four felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
