Driver Ticketed For Bailed Aluminum Dropped on Highway

A Sullivan County man has several tickets courtesy of Delaware County for allegedly causing a road hazard in the town of Colchester.

Sheriff's officials say they responded April 17th to State Route 17 where they found a load of bailed aluminum had shifted on a dump truck driven by 58 year old Loren Holland of Kaueneonga Lake, New York. An entire pallet of the metal fell off the truck, onto the westbound lane.

Holland was issued two traffic tickets for an unsecured load and one commercial vehicle safety violation for having an expired medical card. There were no injuries and no damage to vehicles on the highway.
