A Glen Aubrey man faces several charges following a vehicle crash in the town of Union.

Authorities say 63-year-old Paul Carpenter of Route 26 was driving a 1994 GMC Suburban that is believed to have gone through a stop sign at the intersection of Hayes Avenue and Country Club Road in Endwell.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle came to rest in the front yard of a residence at 2101 Country Club Road. Carpenter then allegedly drove from the scene.

Sheriff's deputies say Carpenter eventually was stopped on Route 26.

Investigators say Carpenter was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. He also faces counts of unlicensed operation and failure to maintain lane.

Carpenter was issued appearance tickets for Union town court.
