The effects of hydraulic fracture drilling for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale is the subject of a documentary premiered in the Southern Tier in Spencer and will be shown in Endicott April 12th.

Drill, Baby, Drill is about a group of farmers banding together to protect their land. It also looks at the effects of drilling in Pennsylvania on farms and other parts of the community.

The Endicott screening will be at 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church on McKinley Avenue.

The screening is free, but the sponsoring groups are asking for a donation of $5.00 or more per person to help cover their expenses of hosting the showings of the film.

Filmmaker, Lech Kowalski is a native of Utica who currently lives and works in Paris, France.

Kowalski planned to be at the showings to discuss the film with residents after the screening.
