Dozens of Packets of Heroin Seized in New Berlin
Chenango County Sheriff’s Investigators say the execution of a ‘no-knock’ search warrant in New Berlin has resulted in the seizure of 70 packets of heroin.
Officials say a lengthy investigation into the sale of heroin and cocaine in Chenango County led them to the Great Brook Potter Road home of 31 year old Nathaniel Sherwood.
Authorities raided the home shortly before 11:30 p.m. May 28 and found the heroin in a false bottom of a can, over $2,000 in cash and a digital scale. Deputies also seized a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle.
Sherwood is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $10,000 bail.
