Downtown Binghamton Transformation Continues
Several buildings along Court Street in downtown Binghamton have undergone a series of improvements in recent months.
Two new student housing projects are transforming abandoned retail and office buildings. They are scheduled to open in the next few weeks.
Other downtown properties also are being revitalized, including a building at 47 Court Street. The structure is at the corner of Court and Washington streets, just south of the MetroCenter Mall.
Workers this week were putting some finishing touches on the exterior of the building.
A cellphone store is located in the building's street level. Apartments are on the upper floors of the structure.
