The downtown Binghamton farmers market has started operations for another season.

A few vendors set up shop at the Collier Street market site on Fridays as the season gets underway. The number of vendors is expected to increase in coming weeks.

Among the items being offered so far this season are strawberries, rhubarb and honey. Guatemalan coffee roasted just a block away was available by the cup and by the pound.

A Windsor man plans to sell maple products and other items at upcoming farmers markets.

The farmers market operates on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, rain or shine. The market is sponsored by the Downtown Binghamton Business Association.
