Downsville Man Arrested for Aggravated Harrassment

On March 22nd, 2013 Delaware County sheriff's deputies arrested William J. Schenkel, 42, of Downsville for 3 counts of Aggravated Harrassment, all Class A Misdemeanors. The charges stem from an incident between Schenkel and two victims that began in the town of Franklin and ended in the village of Walton. As the victims traveled from Oneonta to Downsville, Schenkel called both victims' cell phones numerous times.  Schenkel is charged with 1 count in Franklin and the other 2 in Walton. He was arraigned in Walton court and released on his own recognizance. He has to return at a later date. Temporary orders of protection were issued for the victims.
