Door to Door Solicitor Claims to be From BOCES

Authorities are cautioning residents to be wary of people going door-to-door asking for money.

Broome Tioga BOCES officials say a young man has apparently been going to homes near the Binghamton/Johnson City line soliciting sales and donations supposedly for a BOCES program.  There is no fundraising going on for BOCES and BOCES generally does not promote door-to-door solicitations.

People who have approached by the man are asked to contact their local police.
