The Discovery Center on Morgan Road, next to Ross Park Zoo in Binghamton, right now is the best-smelling children's museum ever!

Speaking on the Southern Tier Close Up airing at 12:10 p.m. December 22nd on News Radio 1290 WNBF, executive director Pokey Crocker and marketing director Martha Steed told host, Kathy Whyte, that dozens of gingerbread houses have been provided by over 240 children, teens and adults to create A World of Fantasy. In all, over 36 vinettes make up the Village of Gingerbread.

Steed also said while school is out December 26th through New Year's Eve day, themed activities are being held at the Center each day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with crafts, treats and science projects.  Wednesday is Dorothy of Oz. Thursday is the space-themed Escape from Planet Earth. Friday, visitors are invited to get pixelated for Wreck-it Ralph Day and Monday, the 31st, an international celebration of the New Year will be held at the Discovery Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
