In an afternoon press release from the Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation it was announced that $50,000 has been donated to the ANNIKA Foundation's "Share My Passion" girls golf clinic.  The ANNIKA Foundation was established by one of golf's all-time greats Annika Sorenstam.  The clinics introduce young girls to the game of golf. Some of the activities the ANNIKA Foundation provides include behind the scenes tours of professional golf tournaments and a golf clinic hosted by World Golf Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam.

Sorenstam is the featured talent at today's UHS Golf Expo at En Joie Golf Course in Endicott as part of the Dick's Sporting Goods Open week festivities. Sorenstam had a stellar career in professional golf.  She retired in 2008 with 72 LPGA wins, 10 Major Championships and an additional 90 victories in international competition.

Dick's Sporting Goods originated in Binghamton and has expanded to hundreds of stores all around the United States.  According to information supplied by Dicks' Sporting Goods The Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation has pledged over $50 million to support teams and assist youth sports around America since 2014.
