Dick’s Sporting Goods Extends Open Deal

Dick's Sporting Goods has made a commitment to extend its role as title sponsor for the Dick's Sporting Goods Open for an additional three years.  The announcement came during this weekend's Champions Tour event at the En Joie Golf Club.  The commitment extends through 2019.  Dick's Sporting Goods initially committed to the title sponsorship in 2007.

During this weekend's tournament numerous golfers commented on the outstanding condition of the En Joie Golf Course.  Most of those commenting praised the overall condition of the course especially in light of it being a public golf course.  They also said that there was a very noticeable upturn in course quality since Dick's Sporting Goods took over as the title sponsor.

As part of the partnership the PGA Tour plans to support The Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation's "Sports Matter" campaign.  The Foundation stresses the importance of youth sports and recognizes the current funding crisis in funding for those sports around the nation.  The Foundation raises money and awareness to help in that funding.
