Dick’s Open Week at En Joie

Activities and events continue throughout the week in Endicott at the En Joie Golf Club as part of Dick’s Sporting Goods Open Week.  This afternoon the Shot-Gun Start Pro-Am continues.  At 4:00 PM UHS presents Pearls of Wisdom with exhibits at 4:00 PM and a Golf Clinic with Nancy Lopez at 6:30 PM.

Tomorrow morning the Johnny Hart Memorial Christian Fellowship Breakfast will be held at the Kalurah Building in Endicott beginning at 7:30 AM.  Tickets are available at the door.  There will be another Pro-Am tomorrow and a Pro-Am Steak and Lobster Dinner in the VIP Lounge.

Groupings for the first round of the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open have been set.  Play begins at 9:14 AM with threesomes going to the tee until 2:00 PM.  At 1:49 defending champion Bart Bryant, Dick’s Open champ Willie Wood and B.C. Open title winner Fred Funk tee off.  Then a mega-powered trio of Colin Montgomerie, Bernhard Langer and Mark O’Meara start their round at 2 o’clock.

WNBF will have reports from the tournament beginning Friday at 3:05 PM.  Reports will also be aired Saturday and Sunday afternoon on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
