Dick’s Open Date Is Released for 2014

The Dick's Sporting Goods Open will be held at En Joie Golf Course in Endicott from August 11th through August 17th, 2014.  The date was released today by Broome County Community Charities, Inc. and the Champions Tour.

Broome County Community Charities, Inc. will once again host the event.  81 Champions Tour golfers will compete for the $1.85 million dollar prize money.  Those golfers who finish in the Top-10 at the Dick's Open will accumulate points toward the Charles Schwab Cup that over the course of the season determines the top golfer on the Champions Tour.

The 54-hole tournament features many of the game's greatest golfers.  The Champions Tour is a membership organization of professional golfers who are 50 or older. Craig Stadler, Fred Funk, Joey Sindelar and Kenny Perry are some of the many favorites who have competed in the tournament in the past.

Weekly ticket booklets go on sale on Friday, November 29th.  Tickets will be available online at www.dsgopen.com and also at Dick's Sporting Goods stores, Weis Markets, Wegmans and the Oakdale Mall office.
