You might want to call them the “Binghamton Devil Dogs ” this weekend.

The Broome County Dog Shelter is hosting a Hockey Night with the Binghamton Devils March 25 for the 5:05 p.m. game against the Utica Comets at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

Tickets are $16 with $2 going back to the dog shelter. Shelter dogs will be on hand (or on paw) looking for homes and shelter staff will have information about the needs of the facility, volunteer opportunities and how to make donations.

The Front Street dog shelter in the Town of Dickinson contracts with several local municipalities to house stray adoptable dogs and puppies. It is also funded through redemption fees, adoption fees and public donations.

The shelter is located on Cutler Pond Road, just south of the SUNY Broome Community College campus and is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
