Deposit Slope Gives Way

There is a State of Emergency in effect for part of the Village of Deposit.

Broome County government officials say a landslide on a slope has forced the closure of a lane of High Street in the Village until further notice.

Broome County Emergency Services is working with the New York State Division of Homeland Security, County Department of Public Works, New York State Department of Transportation and the Village to repair the slope.
