One of Binghamton hockey's all-time favorites will be inducted into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame in ceremonies preceding tonight's B-Sens versus Rochester Americans game.  Ceremonies are expected to begin at 7 PM at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Hamel played six seasons for the Binghamton Senators and was not only a star on the ice but in the community making hundreds of appearances at charity events, schools and events.  Hamel holds the B-Sens record for most goals in a season with 56, most career goals with 203 and most career points with 392,  He was named the American Hockey League Man of the Year in 2008.

Hamel also spent time in the National Hockey League with four different teams including Binghamton's parent team, the Ottawa Senators.  Hamel is the only inductee in this year's ceremony.  He will sign autographs for fans during the first intermission in the concourse of the Veterans Memeorial Arena.
