A Democrat is in the race for Johnson City Mayor. 

After incumbent Republican Mayor Greg Deemie announced he was seeking reelection fellow Republicans, Trustees Richard Balles and Martin Meaney announced they were running for Mayor. 

Now, Planning Board Vice Chairman, Democrat, 30 year old Andrew Holbert is tossing his hat in the ring.

Holbert is touting improving the quality of life, code issues and reducing crime as well as governmental fiscal responsibility.
