A Broome County jury is deliberating the fate of a Johnson City man accused of murdering his landlady last year.

Closing arguments were made in 44 year old Christopher Davis’ murder trial October 29.

Davisis accused of killing 50 year old Patricia LaCaparara, who lived in the apartment below Davis on Brown Street in July of 2013 during a robbery.

Davis’ lawyer says there is no DNA evidence putting his client in LaCaparara’s apartment and questions if someone else was involved. An acquaintance is accused of helping Davis dispose of some items from LaCaparara’s home.

The Broome County District Attorney has maintained a large amount of evidence is stacked against Davis alone.

Davis did not take the stand during the proceedings.
