A Delaware County woman is accused of setting her aggressive dog on law enforcement officers who were trying to arrest her September 18.

Sheriff’s officials say 53 year old Barbara O’Sullivan is charged with violent felony assault.

Officials say the dog bit a Deputy before it was incapacitated by a Taser and O’Sullivan was taken into custody.

The deputy sustained injuries to his arm, was treated at O’Connor Hospital and released.

The dog was seized by the Town of Delhi Dog Control Officer and quarantined as required by law.

Officials say O’Sullivan had been wanted on a resisting arrest warrant stemming from a September 5th incident involving the arrest of her daughter.

The daughter, 28 year old Alecia Bracci of Delhi was also arrested on a resisting arrest warrant on Thursday.

O’Sullivan and Bracci were sent to the Delaware County Jail.

Bail for O’Sullivan was set at 10-thousand dollars and bail for Bracci was put at one-thousand dollars.
