A 16-year-old Delaware County boy faces a felony charge following a police pursuit.

Authorities say Wade Armstrong of Delhi was arrested Wednesday after state police received a report of an unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Investigators say troopers tried to pull over a vehicle driven by Armstrong on Route 23 in Andes.

Police say instead of stopping, Armstrong tried to evade troopers by speeding and driving erratically.

A stinger tire deflation device was set up on Route 28 near Mountain Road in Olive. Armstrong is said to have run from the disabled vehicle. He was taken into custody in a wooded area a short time later.

Police say Armstrong was charged with felony reckless endangerment and misdemeanor unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a vehicle.

Armstrong was arraigned in Andes town court and sent to Delaware County Jail on $3,000 bail.
