Delaware County Farm Stands Report Thefts

Some local farmers are finding there is no honor among thieves.  Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say they are looking for suspects in a violation of trust at local farm stands.

Stands on County Highway 18 between Delhi and South Kortright and on East Bramley Mountain Road in Bovina Center that make goods available on an honor system have had produce and money taken.

Undersheriff Craig DuMond says customers are expected to respect the honor system that hard-working farmers employ to make their goods available to the public while they continue to work their farms.
