New York State Police in Oneonta are looking for information into a couple robberies of convenience stores in Delaware County over the past week which may be related.

Troopers say at around 10 p.m. October 26, a man entered the Stamford Country Store on Harper Street in Stamford and displayed a large kitchen knife before fleeing with money from the cash register.

He was wearing work pants with zippers at the bottom, gray gloves, a green or black jacket and a blue knit hat with eye and mouth holes cut in it.

Then, at around 6:30 a. October 28, a man entered the Mirabito Convenience Store on Route 23 in Davenport, displayed a large kitchen knife and demanded money from the cash register.

The suspect, as with the Saturday robbery, was wearing a black jacket and a hat with holes cut in it.

Both times the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call the State Police at (607) 432-3211.
