David H. Newman Senior Bridge in Hancock is Dedicated

A bridge in the Town of Hancock officially has a new name.

New York State Senator Fred Akshar, Assemblyman Clifford Crouch, officials with the state Department of Transportation and local government along with family members have dedicated the David H. Newman Senior Memorial Bridge.

Newman was the coach of the Hale Eddy Small Fry Football League and a Town of Hancock Councilman from 1979 until he passed away in 1987.

Senator Akshar says it is a custom in the Legislature to pay tribute to citizens whose civic endeavors and life work enhance their communities and the entire state.
