Damaged Building At Vestal Temple Demolished
Demolition crews have been busy tearing down a Vestal temple building that was damaged by a roof collapse.
The roof over Temple Israel's social hall gave way last December. No one was inside the building at the time and there were no injuries.
Gorick Construction of Binghamton started demolishing the structure on Deerfield Place late last month.
A temple rebuilding committee has been developing plans for construction of a new building at the Vestal site.
According to the Temple Israel website, architects have been developing a final design for the structure.
The temple's services have been held at the nearby Jewish Community Center on Clubhouse Road.
