Creepy Clowns Chase Kids in Syracuse

Creepy clowns are apparently creeping now into New York State.

Recently, reports surfaced in Pennsylvania, as they have across the country since August, of people dressed as clowns chasing children or trying to lure them with candy and money.

Now Syracuse Police say a 10 year old was chased on his way to school by three people dressed as clowns September 29.

The boy hid between two houses until he saw a police car and ran to the officer to report the incident.  He was not hurt.

No suspects have been found.

Other children may have also been targeted in similar incidents.

Professional clowns have been angered by the incidents for hurting their business.

Parents are being cautioned to talk to their children about stranger danger even if the stranger is dressed as a clown.
