Crash Turns Out Lights in Vestal
A little over a dozen Town of Vestal residents were without electric service overnight August 5 after a car slammed into a utility pole on Horan Road at around 9 o’clock.
Authorities reported the car flipped over and a woman was taken to Wilson Hospital for treatment. Her condition is not known but officials say her injuries were not life-threatening.
The utility pole was snapped in the crash and New York State Electric and Gas crews spent the night replacing the pole and power lines.
As of 5 a.m. August 6, NYSEG reported the power had been restored to the 14 customers affected.
