Authorities are investigating the cause of a tractor trailer crash in Vestal early February 17 that closed a hilly portion of Route 26.

Officials say the initial call came in around 1 a.m. about a tractor trailer over an embankment in the area of Meeker Road.

The authorities say the steepness of the terrain in that area and the position of the truck have been complicating attempts to remove the vehicle.

Route 26 was shut down between Main Street and Meeker Road for hours.

There were no injuries.

Officials say the truck was packed full of meat.
