Crash Leads to DWI Charge in Norwich

A Town of Oxford man is being charged drunk driving as Chenango County Sheriff’s officials investigated a report of a two car crash on County Road 32 in the Town of Norwich January 21.

Authorities say 33 year old Matthew Maclaury apparently drove off the road and hit a parked vehicle.

Deputies say Maclaury’s blood alcohol content was measured at over twice the legal limit.

He’s charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and was ordered to appear in Town of Norwich Court at a later date.
