The Binghamton Senators open the 2013-2014 season Saturday night at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena when they host the Syracuse Crunch at 7:05.  The B-Sens had 29 players assigned from the parent Ottawa Senators yesterday.

Among those players are plenty of familiar names.  Mark Borowiecki, Derek Grant, Jim O'Brien, Mika Zibanejad and Mike Hoffman are among those assigned here who have spent time in Binghamton in previous seasons.

Three goaltenders are among those set to open the season in a B-Sens uniform.  Among them are Scott Greenham, Andrew Hammond and Nathan Lawson.  Lawson played in 23 games and posted 12 wins for Binghamton last season.

Ottawa's training camp has lasted longer and because of that the Binghamton Senators will not play any pre-season games at the American Hockey League level.  Fans will find major renovations in the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena..  New seating, new LED lighting, new dasher boards and glass and a newly remodeled Arena Club are among the major improvements made in an around the building.

Following Saturday's opener the B-Sens don't play home again until Saturday, October 19th when they host the Crunch again.  Other home games in October are set against Hershey on Wednesday, October 26th and on Tuesday, October 31st vs Norfolk.
