A downtown Binghamton fire forced Coughlin & Gerhart, L.L.P. out of their main offices in the Press Building at 19 Chenango Street,  Binghamton on December 22, 2010.  The fire broke out in the Midtown Mall adjacent to the Press Building.  Efforts to keep that fire from spreading to surrounding structures caused enormous  water and smoke damage to the Press Building, forcing Coughlin & Gerhart out.

They moved to the Huron Campus and Clock Tower Building in Endicott and remained there until just a few months ago.  Today they held a grand opening ceremony in their new location at 99 Corporate Drive, Binghamton.  The firm hosted hundreds of guests who toured the new location during an open house that ran from 2-7 PM.

Coughlin & Gerhart, L.L.P. was founded in the 1890's and is a full service law firm employing more than 100 attorneys and staff.  Mark Gorgos, Managing Partner of the firm says "we believe this facility is well equipped to not only handle our firm's current needs, but to grow with us into the future."  He says they looked all over the area, including downtown Binghamton before deciding on their new home.

While their main offices are now at the 99 Corporate Drive location, they continue to have branch offices in Bainbridge, Hancock, Ithaca and Owego as well as in Montrose, Pa.
