A search of a home in Cortlandville has resulted in the arrest of a man accused of cooking methamphetamine.

New York State Police say they searched the Pendleton Street Extension home of Mark Fitzgerald at 6 a.m. April 25  as part of a joint investigation with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department and the City of Cortland Police and found 25 packets of heroin as well as equipment and materials used in the manufacture of meth.

Fitzgerald is charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

He was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $10,000 dollars bail.

The investigation is continuing.
