The Cortland County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Cortlandville man and has charged him with drug possession.

Police say they responded to 143 Penguin Drive in the Town of Cortlandville for a report of someone manufacturing methamphetamine.  Upon arriving at the residence, Police noticed the smell of chemicals burning and after searching the residence discovered methamphetamine in the kitchen.  A small amount of marijuana was also discovered.

Police arrested 26 year-old Cody Brown and have charged him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.  He was arraigned in the Town of Homer Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Police also say that Brown is wanted in Texas, however they will not be extraditing him.
